Well, 2008 is almost over!
What kind of year have you had!?
This year has been a turning point for me! First, I am grateful for all things that have happened this year, even ones that may have, at first, seemed like negative things. It's amazing how you can turn things around!
I am so grateful for my family. My husband Bob, my wonderful children, Mark, Katherine and Lindsey. My good buddy and sister, Susan and her adorable son, Bobby!
I am grateful that I have found Etsy this year...well, my daughter Lindsey found it first. I can remember her telling me about this new site for handmade sellers some years ago. I didn't think much about it. I thought it looked neat, and was perfect for her. She has all the talent.
But in April, after always having a love for antiques and vintage, I opened my shop on Etsy. (Since it's also a place for vintage sellers!) I've learned a lot about business, photography, marketing, etc. It's been a lot of fun, and I think I've been pretty successful!
I have even bigger goals for 2009! I will be putting even more time into both of my shops. I also have a website on Artfire and Bigcartel, which I need to devote a little more time on.
And, I am really hoping to get my blog moving this year!
I would love to hear what kinds of things have been going on for you in 2008 and what your hopes and goals are for 2009.
I'm wishing everyone success and happiness in 2009! Start by counting your blessings, and you just my realize how successful you already are!
Best wishes, and thanks so much to all of my customers and all of my "vintage vixens" who have helped me to figure out what all the stuff is I'm selling (there's a lot to learn!).

Happy New Year to you too!! :)
I hope the new year on Etsy brings you all kinds of successes! :)
Awwwww - what a great summary of your year. Many wishes for an even more prosperous year in 2009. Love your shops!!
I, too, discovered Etsy this past year, and what a wonderful discovery it was! I am currently selling decorated file folders and handmade greeting cards. I greatly enjoyed the whole process of "setting up shop".
This coming year I'd like to see how much I can expand it as far as products and sales.
Happy New Year to you, and best wishes!
Best of luck in the coming year! Sad to say, I'm just hoping to go through 2009 without losing my job or losing any more money. I think we need a full year before things start to look up and I'm just hoping to get threw it with a minimum of stress, heartache and tears.
I am thankful for finding Flickr and meeting loads of nice people. I am thankful for being able to take the time to take time, to start figuring out what I want to do with my life. I am thankful to have found Etsy and nice people like you! Thank you Jen!
