Right now we're on I-95 in South Carolina...cruising at a good speed..don't worry, I'm not the driver!
I have a business question. I have a friend that went for an interview almost a month ago. She thought the interview went well and she really liked the people she met. She even sent a thank you note right out to them that day. After a week or two, she called and left a voice mail to see if the had made a decision yet. No reply. She sent a cute, quick little email a few days later...and still, no reply. So at this point, she's guessing (she's brilliant..that's why she's my friend!), that she didn't get the job. My question is...isn't that rude? No reply..no nothing? Have you heard of that sort of behavior in the business world!? No fears though...it turned out to be a good thing...she interviewed with another company, with an awesome salary, and room to learn so much more..and move up the "corporate ladder"! But I felt bad that the other company did that to her!

Hmmm yes I think that is pretty unprofessional. I would expect some sort of response. Something similar happened to me with a Popular company, I didn't hear for over a month. Ick, glad they didn't want me!
Thanks Lindsey!!
Very impolite and very unprofessional. People being interviewed should at least be told when they will hear whether they get the job or not. Some interviews I have been to I have been told within 24 hours. I think your friend got the best of the deal Jen. The other people might have been outwardly friendly but they were obviously not worth knowing. To be quite honest, if it were me, I think I would write a slightly sarcastic little message to them and describe the new job. But that is me being nasty...lol.
I love your idea Cathy!
Well I once went for an interview and never heard back either. Then 3 months later I got a call telling me I got the job. Turns out they were in no big hurry to hire someone and when they finally got around to it I got the job.
But, yes it is rude and unprofessional.
Hugs,
Joanne
Hi Jen! Thanks for your comment on my blog. I love your pink china set and will check-out your etsy shop. Your blog looks fun and I'll bookmark it. We sure love our vintage stuff! Take care. Di
